These are fraudulent software “support” technicians. I had a message pop up from Simple Software Support on my laptop saying that I was recently on a site that endangered my hard drive. I ignored it, but then I got another pop-up message from them that I could not exit out of. It shut down my computer. I was forced to call them and they wanted to charge me thousands of dollars to fix it. I refused to pay them, so I had to take it to a tech in person to get it fixed. He told me that Simple Software put the virus on my computer.
