I contacted Pete Ice Edina Realty to help my husband and I sell our house. We bought it no too long ago and flipped it. We renovated it and it became our dream home, unfortunately, we outgrew it quickly. We needed more rooms for our growing family.
Pete Edina’s Realty team did an assessment of our house. They were going to sell our house and find another for us at the same time. We did not know much about selling a home so we put our full trust in his team’s hands. They definitely took advantage of that.
He convinced us to leave the house and check into a hotel until he found us a place to stay. He was going to hold a couple open houses and show the house over the week so we handed over our keys. It sounded like he had a promising method to sell the house fast and get us into a new one.
We had to sign an agreement to give him the house keys and an ongoing contract that held up until he found us a house.
A week went by and he still had not found us a house. We were anxiously awaiting his call to go and view a few. We were paying him to do so. I was pretty aggravated and being in a hotel with 3 kids is not fun, so my husband and I decided to see what we could do about the agreement we had made.
We had already paid him $2,000, and he was going to get a very handsome percentage once our house sold. He asked for a $,1500 cancellation charge for his services. Apparently, it was in the agreement.
Just like that, he got $3,500 out of us and didn’t have to do anything for it.
We went with another realtor because we could not trust his work ethic and we were not going to have a house for another two weeks regardless of his promise. Badman to do business with.
