I purchased a car recently and got insurance from Allstate. I made sure that I received every detail when I spoke with an Allstate agent named Amber Ritchie. She gave me a great deal and told me that I had full coverage.
Rather than monthly payments, I paid for one full year.
I am glad that I did because I got in a car accident not long after the purchase. It did some serious damage. I called Amber right away. She listened to me and told me that I was eligible for 10% coverage. I freaked out. It was not going to cover nearly enough.
I went over the paper. She knew that she promised me full coverage.
What happened was that she got my signature and signed me up for a different plan and kept the money that I had given her for a full year.
I can’t prove it, but I am without a car and I have to find some way.
